Welcome to the Greater New York Youth Chorus Online!
Singing has a long history within the Christian church. The Greater New York Youth Chorus continues that tradition with new energy and vitality.
Formed in September 2005, the Greater New York Youth Chorus had 26 singers in its first season. In its second season the number was increased to 39 singers with a three part rhythm section. The group draws on young people aged from 13 to 30 from all over the Greater New York Division, including the five boroughs of New York City, Long Island and as far north as Kingston. All members are active members of their local corps.
The Chorus has sung in a number of different locations including Madison Square Garden, The Centennial Memorial Temple, Star Lake Music Camp and Salvation Army venues in Ohio and Michigan.
The GNY Chorus exists to inspire people through Godly music, to lead people in worship and to communicate through song and their lives the message of the gospel.
May God Bless You.
